In your quest to become an accomplished writer there is one resouce that is often over looked. Your local library has many valuable resources that can assist you in acheiving your goals.
Your local library may sponsor classes, some of which may be given by other authors and writers on how to perfect your craft. The library can be a resource on how to obtain funds for your projects and even sponsor events.
Another benefit is that these resouces are low cost or in most cases FREE!!! We all love the word free. I have had a number of my book signings at local libraries and have aslo attended events there. If you are trying to get your book out and save money in the process, your local library is a major resource.
One last tip, as an author, once you have published your book, especially if you are a self-published author, make sure that your local library has a couple of copies of your book. Even though books are free to check out at the library, you'd be surprised how word of mouth through your local library can increase the sales on your must have book.
Contact the events coordinator at your local library for information.
